SONGS & MEANINGS
1.HILLS TO HIMALAYAS
Hills To Himalayas is an ode to unity and a song that holds within it, the sounds of the Himalayas. It is a song, not just for Nepal, but about Nepal.
2.MASA DAI
This is a folk tune with a madal theme, dedicated as a tribute to an avid supporter of the band since its inception: Masa Dai.
3.DHA DHA TE TE
Right from the start, the rhythmic delight of Upendra and Friends begins with Dha Dha Te Te. The blend of classical with western percussive and folk is not only the heart and soul of this song, but a recurring theme throughout the album.
4.CHAMELI
Chameli harkens memories of the oriental and is a percussive journey that takes well-known Nepali tune and re-imagines it with a flamboyant flavor.
5.RHYTHM OF KHIN
Khin is a Newari percussion instrument mostly played during Newari festivals. Rythm of Khin uses this instrument with a mix of electronic fusion to create an eclectic, yet expressive track.
6.BENI KO BAZAR
With rolling pianos, frolicking flutes and an energetic array of percussion, this version of the classic Beni Ko Bazar adds a fantastic fervor and rhythmic delight into the mix.
7.RHYTHM OF NAYA KHIN
Rhythm of Naya Khin, as the name suggests, is a musical composition with the Khin taking lead in an electronic fusion medley.
8.WINTER OF NAEBA
This composition is inspired by the band’s visit to a hill station in Japan, while on a musical tour. The melodies are reminiscent of the deeply relaxing and soothing atmosphere of Naeba.
