Himalayan singing bowls
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Aman Shahi
Aman carries the resonance and vibrations of the meditative spirits of the Kathmandu valley. He was born in 1977 and from the age of 13 has been playing, making the divine powerful sounds of the singing bowls hum to a meditative trance with his material uncle Shree Krishna Shahi who is his
first guru (teacher) and the only person who guided and motivated Aman to the path of musical singing bowls. His skill on bass guitar and percussion blends beautifully with his calm and spell bounding performances of the singing bowls. He is performing in various classical concerts
and musical functions, he has shown his splendid skill at the musical event called “Sukrabar”.
Aman is a member of Trikaal; the internationally renowned fusion band of Nepal. He is also an expert in antiques and Tantrik Arts from which he derives his energy to resonate higher forms of singing bowl sounds and notes. Aman is working on ways to powerfully mix the meditating sound of the singing bowls in fusion and new age music.
