BIOGRAPHY
Ani Sangay Dolma & Ani Tenpa Chodon
We are twin sisters. We were born in Nepal in Dolakha Zone, Bigu Ga Be.Sa. (1982). We started our schooling at the age of 4 in Kathmandu at Boudha and the name of our school is Boudha secondary English School (Ramahity). We became nuns in 1999 at Sakya Nunnery Rinchen Choeling in Dehradun (India). We permanently residing here. We both have been studying and also working in Sakya Nunnery as office administrator since 2001. Sakya Nunnery has a branch in Nepal (Kathmandu Boudha-6 at Bhuwaldanda) and Tenpa Chodon is now working there as administrator since 2013.
Actually, Our main purpose of making this CD is to dedicate this to all the sentient beings for their well being, especially for those who are helpless and those animals who are suffering without their fault.
SONGS AND MEANINGS
1. Taking Refuge In The Triple Gem
In Buddhism, taking refuge means that you commit yourself to trusting in the Triple Gem the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. You want to follow the Buddhist path and base your life on Buddhist principles.
2.Long Life Prayer For The Sakya Trizin
This prayer praises the sublime qualities of his holiness the Sakya Trizin, head of the Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and wishes him to have a long life in order to benefit all beings.
3.Supplication To Manjushri
The bodhisattva manjushri is considered the father of all the buddhas. He represents wisdom and cutting through delusion, signified by the dharman text and sword he holds. Making supplication to manjushri is particularly beneficial for students, or those wishing to enhance their wisdom.
4.Root Mantra Of Manjushri
To gain the benefits represented by manjushri, his mantra is recited with dedication and conviction.

5.Green Tara Mantra
Green Tara is a bodhisattva of compassion who manifests in female form. She is always ready to help beings, signified by her right leg being in the act of stepping down from her lotus throne. Reciting her mantra with devotion brings comfort in times of difficulty.

6.Melodious Chanting Dedicated To Tsok offering
As a means of getting closer to a deity, offerings of food and drink are made during a celebration to which all the deities are invited. This chant is sung while the offerings are being enjoyed.
7.Prayer For The Happiness Of All Beings
This prayer is dedicated to the spiritual and worldly welfare and happiness of all sentient beings. Its final verses invoke the past Sakya master, beseeching them to bring this about.
8.Mangala Gatha
This is celebratory prayer for auspiciousness, acknowledging the qualities of the Buddha, Dharmanand Sangha, requesting good fortune, good health and benefit forall beings in the world here and now.
