About The Artist:
Bharat Nepali, son of Sher Bahadur Nepali, was born In 1955 in Bhaktapur. At the age of 8, he started learning the “Sarangi” and became one of the best Sarangi players In Nepal. He has been performing regularly In shows Including at the Hyatt Regency Nepal. He has held stage programmes in Hongkong, India and Nepal and been honored with several prizes.
His albums, OSaajO, OSacred Valley Sacred MusicO & OMountain Folk Tuned with the help of his colleagues, has been very popular in Nepal and abroad as well. “Buddham Sharanam Gacchami” is his latest presentation. He has spent a lot of time and effort to present this album, He says this album is his favorite album.

When Prince Siddharth went for a walk, he saw the truth about disease, pain and death. He went forest to find peace, by leaving his wife and son and abandoning his comfortable royal life. After years of penance, he attained nirvana and spread the word of Buddhism. This tune or hymn is sung year during the rainy season festival of “Gunla Dharma” which is held in the month of July.
