Biography


Shrawan Joshi

Shrawan Joshi was born in 1976. He is the son of Mangal Narayan Shrawan graduated from the University of Sangeet in Allahabad, India. Shrawan has participated in and received many  awards and accolades in various performances, nationally and Internationally. He has also released an album in collaboration with the “Vajra” pop group. During his stay in Japan, he organized and performed  in classical concerts and also released few albums.

Shrawan is an extremely talented musician of the new generation. His performance prove his abilities and virtuosity. He has performed on Nepal Television as well as Radio Nepal. His talents lie especially in playing the sitar. Local and international music critics have praised his abilities as a musician. Presently Shrawan is studying music at the University of Japan.

Raman Maharjan

Raman Maharjan was born in 1971 and learn how to play the Flute, madal, harmonium. He received diploma in Music from Prayag  Sangeet  Samiti, Allahabad. he speaks Newari, Nepali, English and Hindi. He has travelled to Tibet, India, Japan and taught music in Panga Secondary School since 1995, and Swarnim High School since 1998. He was awarded the Kalanidhi Award in 1996 and Narayan Music Award 1999. He has several music albums to his credit. These include “Pagoda” Cassette, “Koselee” CD “Lumbini” CD “Creation” CD “Heart Sutra” CD and “Intransient Nature” C.D.

 

Milesh Tandukar

Milesh Tandukar was born in 1980. He is the son of Sanu Tandukar.  Milesh was always interested in music since his childhood.  Milesh graduated from the University of Sangeet in Allahabad, India with distinction and received a gold medal in his finals. He has participated in and received many awards and accolades in various performances  nationally and internationally. He performed during Radio Nepal’s Annual Classical Music Competition and was placed 2nd overall.

Milesh is an extremely talented and passionate musician of the new generation. Apart from the Tabla, Milesh can also-play the Murchunga, Damaroo, Dhhime, Madal and  various other instruments. His performances rave enthralled many audiences everywhere.  Milesh has also performed on Nepal Television as well as Radio Nepal several times. He has co-performed on various Instruments on numerous albums.
